Dordt University
Saturday, April 18, 2:00pm
Josiah Vos, a sophomore piano performance and pedagogy and mathematics student at Dordt University, will give a piano recital on April 18 at 2 p.m. in the Jim and Marilyn Dean Recital Hall. Vos, from Sioux City, IA will play selected works from Chopin, Bach, Mozart, Ravel and Bartók representing a variety of musical styles. Vos is the accompanist for the Concert Choir and 4th Avenue Jazz. In 2024 he earned 2nd place in the Bill Riley Talent Search at the Iowa State Fair. The recital is free and open to the public. A reception will follow after the performance.

Dordt University will present Victoria Ensink in a senior percussion recital on Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 pm in the Jim and Marily Dean Recital Hall. Tori, form Hudsonville, MI, is majoring in K-12 Instrumental Music Education with a minor in percussion performance. She is also in the Kuyper Honors Program at Dordt. Tori will be joined by Kaitlyn Dykstra, piano and Josiah Vos and Matthew Taylor on the snare drum. Tori studies with Dana LeVan. She is also an accomplished organ recitalist, and was a featured soloist on Dordt’s Wind Symphony tour in March of this year.
Calvin CRC Prime Rib Dinner Pick-up Night
Christian Education Prime rib dinner is Saturday, April 18-reserve your tickets for the Christian Education Chapter Prime rib dinner, prepared by well known Lorraine Nieuwsma. Each ticket purchased will have a time to pick up your hot prime rib meal at Calvin and enjoy your meal at home with family and friends. Guiding Star of Siouxland
Guiding Star Siouxland is hosting our Introduction to Womanhood Class on April 27 at 7pm in Orange City! Premenstrual girls aged 9-13 and their mothers or trusted female guardians are welcome to join for this fun and interactive 90 minute workshop where they will learn to cultivate a healthy respect for bodies as God intended, foster open communication between parents and children, and learn about puberty and fertility with confidence! INSPIRATION HILLS
Hello all,
Join us Friday May 1st from 1pm - 5:30pm and Saturday May 2nd from 8am - 4pm for our Volunteer Work Days! Help us get camp ready for summer camp this year! From picking up sticks to splitting logs, there's a job for everyone! Whether you're here for a few hours or for all of both days, your help is greatly appreciated! Individuals welcome or youth groups can register together with their youth pastors/leaders
It’s also a perfect weekend to let Inspiration Hills handle the planning—we take care of meals, content, games, and create intentional space for your group to bond and grow together.
7th–9th Grade Fall Retreat: November 6 – 8, 2026
4th–6th Grade Retreat: February 12 – 14, 2027
These weekends are a great opportunity for students to step away, grow in their faith, and build meaningful connections in a Christ-centered environment.
