Dordt University

Friday, March 15: The Dordt University Concert Choir invites you to a concert on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. This free concert is part of a spring tour with performances scheduled in Montana, Washington, British Columbia, Idaho, South Dakota, and Iowa.  Directed by Dr. Ryan Smit, the Concert Choir will perform a wide variety of music including hymn arrangements; spirituals; songs from other cultures; standards of the choral repertoire by Sweelinck and Hassler; and newer modern works by Shawn Kirchner, Jake Runestad, Dan Forrest, Elaine Hagenberg, Kim André Arnesen, Patrick Vu, and others. The concert is free, with a freewill offering received to help defray tour expenses.  The concert will also be available on livestream at

Friday, March 22: The Dordt University Music Department will host OPERA Iowa, Des Moines Metro Opera’s educational touring troupe, on Friday, March 22 for a performance of Grétry/Borths’ Beauty and the Beast (sung in English), at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.  The performance is free and open to the public.  OPERA Iowa will also present a children’s opera, “Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing,” the story of a serpent in the circus who longs for more than just slithering in and out of his basket—he wants to sing!  This performance will be in the B.J. Haan Auditorium on Friday, March 22 at 1:15 pm.  To register for the Children’s Performance, contact the Dordt University Music Office at 712-722-6222.

Rock Valley Habitat Home Groundbreaking Ceremony will be on Wednesday, March 20 at 10:00AM at 2652 Warren Circle in Rock Valley. Please join Siouxland Habitat for Humanity as we give thanks to God and break ground on this Habitat home with the Alex & Rebecca Arteaga family. Everyone is welcome!!

Habitat Sponsor A Stud - Gather your friends, family, church group or business to sponsor one or more 2x4 studs for $100 each to help build the Arteaga family's Habitat home! We will deliver the stud to you to decorate with Bible verses, encouraging words, prayers, pictures, etc. The studs will be framed into the house, and everyone will be invited to a Stud Finder Event later on to see the studs and pray for the home and family. Are you seeking to travel overseas with a mission purpose? Hope Haven International Ministries has an upcoming trip and we need team members! We are traveling to Uganda, Africa. We are seeking up to 12 people to travel with us. The dates will be scheduled for the second half of March 2024, departing on March 23, 2024. We are distributing 2 containers of wheelchairs between three different ministries in Uganda. You have an option of ending with an African safari at the end of the distribution trip.
No special skills needed, just a heart to help. There will be a little time to tour with each group.

Inspiration Hills

Digging Deeper is your opportunity to study the Word of God more in depth than ever before! Whether you're opening the Bible for the first time or are a seasoned theologian, this workshop will help you learn the tools necessary for studying God's Word accurately and in a fulfilling way.

This weekend retreat includes guided video lessons from Familylife's Art of Marriage curriculum as well as discussion time with other couples and activities that will strengthen your bond as a couple.
