DORDT University
Tuesday, November 11, 7:30pm
The Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra (NISO) Fall Concert, A New Era Looking Back, featuring guest artist Daniel Maltz is set for Tuesday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Dordt University’s B.J. Haan auditorium. Under the direction of Dr. Onsby Rose, the symphony will perform three works: Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Concerto for Fortepiano in D Major” featuring Vienna, Austria based fortepianist Daniel Maltz and concluding with Beethoven’s “7th Symphony.” Tickets for the NISO fall concert can be purchased at www.ticketleap.events/events/nisoiowa. Tickets will also be available at the door. Admission is $25/adult and students are free. Friday, November 14, 7:00pm
Nicole Rayhons, a senior studying Secondary Art Education at Dordt University, will give a French Horn recital on Friday, November 14, at 7 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. Rayhons will open the recital with Richard Strauss’s “First Horn Concerto,” a dynamic piece for skilled French horn players. The program will also feature a performance of “Harvest Light,” composed by James Naigus. A choir of eight horn players will accompany Rayhons. The recital is free to attend and open to the public.
Saturday, November 15, 3:00 pm
You are cordially invited to the senior clarinet recital of Courtney Joiner, a Music Performance and Pedagogy and Computer Science major from Orange City, Iowa. The recital will be held at the B.J. Haan Auditorium at 3:00 pm. The recital is free to attend and open to the public. A public reception will also be held following the recital.
Saturday, November 15, 7:00 pm
On Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 pm in the B.J. Haan Auditorium, Dordt University senior Abraham Hall will give an organ recital. Repertoire will include pieces by Bach, Mendelssohn and Messiaen. Hall is a Music Major studying organ with Dr. Carrie Groenewold. The recital is free to attend and open to the public
MIK+ Post High Young Adult (18-30 year old singles)
We will be meeting for our next Bible Study on Saturday, November 15 (6pm)
at the Inwood IA CRC. Use the middle door in front of the church (it's a single door).
We will continue our study from the book "Ephesians Your Place in God's Plan" by Richard Coekin, lesson 3...Ephesians 2 “New Life, New People.” We have the books and there is no prep work needed to attend. We will also be sharing a "Friendsgiving Meal" together. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and drinks will be provided. Each of the Young Adults are asked to bring a side dish, dessert, or bread/rolls to share...the challenge is to bring something that begins with the first letter of your first name.
In order for everyone to know how much food to bring, we need to have your RSVP to Lee @ 712 470 4244 by November 12 at 6pm.
Saturday Dec 6 (3pm)- Caroling around Edgerton MN. After caroling we will enjoy soup, rolls, and hot chocolate. We will finish our night with a white elephant gift exchange. RSVP to Lee at 712 470 4244. Updated info will be shared as we get closer to the event.
MEN AND YOUNG MEN - SAVE THE DATE - MENDISTRY EVENT
Mendistry's Area Men's Event will be Thursday, November 11 at 7pm at the Orange City High School Gym. "Warriors in War and Faith" is the theme. The speaker is Tommy Albers who should have been killed when a bullet went through his helmet while serving in Afghanistan. But God's miraculous power saved him! Come and hear Tommy's and God's story of War and Faith.

Happy Fall from Inspiration Hills! The leaves are starting to turn, and camp is alive with the beauty of the season. As we welcome this new chapter, our days are filled with retreats, events, and opportunities to gather together in God’s creation. Fall is always a busy time at camp, but it’s also a season to slow down, enjoy the crisp air, and reflect on God’s goodness. We’re so thankful to share this journey with you!

Why to Give:
● Streamlined giving as you inform your local elevator of your grain donation and they sell the grain for Inspiration Hills.
● Your gift is a direct support to camp.
● You increase ministry opportunities to kids and adults.
● Provides tax advantages/ savings to you.
How to Give: Inform your elevator that you would like to put the donated amount into Inspiration Hill’s name, sell it, and then send the check to Inspiration Hills.

Annual Fundraiser: Banquet-November 13th
