As our children become teenagers, 1st CRC continues to instill the teachings of Jesus Christ and to guide the youth in their walk with God through catechism and the youth group.
The Heidelberg Catechism is taught by the Pastor and elders to our high school age group. They meet immediately following the morning worship service at approximately 10:45 beginning in the fall and concluding at the end of spring.
We have a highly active and well represented Youth Group. Three couples serve as sponsors enabling our teenagers to gather together to focus on and discuss a Christ centered message, to nurture each other in their walk with Christ and to care for one another as a body of Christ.
Some of the activities the youth are involved in each year include:
- SERVE
- Convention
- A service project for the elderly of our congregation
- A night of fellowship and games at the church with the older generation of our church
- Planning a Valentine’s Dinner and entertainment
