Sunday- We went to the 9:30 worship service at the church where we are staying. There were some friends of Ben & Amy that were baptizing their newborn baby. The baby has been born with severe defects including blindness and is not expected to live long. The baptism was a very touching and moving experience. The dad has his own ministry and talked about how devastated they were after the birth of this child, but how God has changed that and how they see her as such a blessing to them. He then did the prayer after the baptism as everyone else wiped their eyes dry.
Then we were excused as Ben was picking us up and we went to the Presbyterian church for the 11:00 Spanish service. They did have an interpreter that interpreted some for us. This church is the mother church to Mt. Horeb where we will be working this week.
Then we went back to our dorms and Ben will pick us up again at 4:15 to leave for the Mount Horeb Church in El Salto where we will be working. From there we will go to our hosts families until Tues. afternoon.
